I don't know off hand but I see advertisements for them in California Waterfowl Magazine. You might start there if you are a member and receive the magazine.

These guys is where I would start and likely finish. They are based in NorCal and IMO build a quality product.

Only one way to get there, it's in the middle of no where, you gotta get a little mud on the tires.

Correction! Used to have to get a litlle mud on the tires!

Just so happens that I measured my blind a couple years ago and saved the info. I was in the basic Duck Blinds Unlimited four man blind with sloped sides. The dimensions from the outer most edges of steel were 26 1/4" x 122 1/2". I'm guessing every blind manufacturer is a little different but I would guess that 2 feet wide and 12 feet long is a pretty typical dimension.

Just my opinion, but I would ask myself why a guy would go to the trouble of pulling a steel tank out of a field unless there were problems with it. Okay, he admits it had a leak and had it professionally spot welded to repair. Then I ask myself, if there was one weak spot in the tank, is it likely that other parts of the tank are weak and ready to spring a leak? He then tells me he pulled a number of tanks out of a field to reduce the amount of pressure on the area. I then say he played musical blinds in that field and is selling the weakest blind. I guess if you're prepared to take on the risk associated with a used blind, then go for it. If it were me, I would bite the shell and go new.

Go new and coat it with apoxy, if you buy a used blind have it fiberglassed,, I had two blinds that were fiberglassed and that is all I was standing on, the metal was gone half way through the season and it lasted the whole season. Just a thought.. good luck.

Would u recommend using roofing tar to seal the inside of the blind?

If I had my own club I'd consider Line-X or Rhino Lining for the blinds, both inside and out. Should seal and keep the metal from rusting for a very long time. Also would be gentle on gun finishes for leaning on the sides of the pit. You can get a roll in liner for do-it-yourself applications, Herculiner is what that's called. With the rough finish it shouldn't be too slippery when wet, no more-so than a painted steel blind. Keep in mind that this stuff all ends up around 1/8" thick so covers might not fit. But it would also deaden sound in the tank as well.

That's what I'd use, if I had my own club and the money to do it.

I'd think roofing tar would make a holy mess and get all over everything eventually. Epoxy and fiberglass might be a better option, as previously suggested if it's a used blind that you haven't sunk into the ground already.
