NOR CAL

Postby #1wingnut » Mon Dec 05, 2005 7:42 pm

I was driving home the other day on one of our freeways when I looked to the right I could see 6 or 8 deer standing in a cut corn field at the same time off to the left was a group of about 30 or so turkey's in a cut wheat field and directly overhead (I was in the vette, glass top) were 2 groups
of honkers about 30 each group. I got about 1/4 mile and a pond off to the left had a swerl (100's) of ducks over it. (BTW I used to be able to hunt that pond back in the day)
If you like the outdoors you gota love northern California. My wife and I have said in the past that one day we wanta move. when I see things like that it makes me wonder do I really want to?

And don't forget the weather...I just moved from Minnesota and you have no idea (unless you've been in it) how cold hunting in 20 below can be....yikes!
I love all of God's creatures, properly prepared.

Absolutely, but Northern California starts way north of Galt.........The farther North you go, the better it gets.....

a fellow in Yreka once told me: Northern California starts 50 miles south of whereever you live.

How true, How True. They consider Redding to be Central CA. In Bakersfield, they think they are up north.
