Any sugestion on better hunting area?? Looking at 3

Postby g.luns » Wed Mar 22, 2006 10:01 pm

Hey Guys ,We are looking at 3 different hunting areas. We could use some help. The first area is near Robbins 4 miles north to reclimation rd then 2 miles west on Kirkville rd on the north side of the road. Is this still a good flyway area. we were told it was.

2. 99N to Olswald rd 5 miles to the dead end. A left turn would take you into Sutter NWR the clud is right there at the right side of the road bend.

3. 99n Riego Rd east . second big field. Used to be nice area, not sure if still is.

We will take any imput you might have. Thanks! :help:

if it were me I'd go with #2 (sutter refuge) in a heartbeat. I know guys that hunt right there that smoke the birds all year long. The other two places are marginal IMO and you won't see birds until december.

Thank you, I hope so also. Liven in Elk Grove and seeing all the ducks and geese in the Stone Lake refuge just keeps me counting the days until next season!!

Yeah I know what you mean, I live near their too in the pocket area.

Whats even worse is I have access to stone lake into snodgrass slough but I don't think its huntable due to the refuge now. Maybe one day I will get bold and test the law of naivable waterways!

Did that club flood out this year?
