Don't ridicule the new guy

Postby GunDog » Sat Aug 05, 2006 8:53 pm

Hope there isn't a sticky out there I missed or this topic covered too much recently...

I'm moving to So Cal (Long Beach) in the next few weeks due to a job transfer and in desperate need of some options for duck, goose, quail/chukar hunting within a reasonable drive. Any help? I've been told of the Salton Sea, and I used to go with my dad and his friends to bakersfield (too long of a drive I think nowdays).

Your 3 main options are driving to the Salton Sea, about 3-4 hours from the LBC, San Jacinto, about 1-1/2 hour drive, or Kern, about 3 hours. I hunt both San Jacinto and Wister (Salton Sea), give me a ring if you want to meet out there some time.
