My bad. The post was" 2000 banded grey ducks" 1500 gadwall and 500 widgeon. Brad Bales banded the crap out of'm at S.L. this year. He retired a few months ago. Hey Brad if your reading this, enjoy retirement, gonna miss you brother. :beer:

Son got this banded wood duck last year during JR. Hunt south of Durham .

didnt know he retired, im lucky eonught to have 4 bands from him. i know alot of people that shot his bands.

NO MR. SILVERBANDS THIS WIGEON WAS ONE OF FOUR THAT CAME IN TO MY CALLING,AS SUCH WERE VERY CLOSE,BY THE TIME I SPIT OUT MY CALL,AND WAS AIMING FOR A HEAD SHOT,PARTNER GOT FIRST SHOT,SO THIS ONE JUMPED UP AS I PULLED THE TRIGGER,SO I GOT ALOT OF THE LOWER BODY[TWO BROKEN LEGS,AND GUT SHOT]PULLED OVER DROP THE ONE NEXT TO IT,THEN SAW HIM FLYING AWAY IN THE OTHER DIRICTTION ,SO THIRD SHOT FOLDED IT[NOW 2 BROKEN WINGS]BUT BOTH BREASTS WERE PREFECT.......BUT MY FIRST DUCK YESTERDAY IN THE FOG WAS A ONE BB HEAD SHOT ON A PREFECT DRAKE REDHEAD THAT WE BE ON THE WALL ....NOT MY FIRST,BUT THE BEST ONE THAT I HAVE GOT THAT WASNT SHOT UP BAD...

hope you got that wigeon mounted...wigeon bands are pertty rare.

Agreed slvr.bands.Banded widgeon are rare but more and more banding projects are including widgeon in their banding serveys. Atleast Oregon is Thanks for all the reports fellas.Keep'm coming! :thumbsup: on that banded wooduck young man.

The banding program has got to be the coolest thing ever. A little part of me still thinks they make this stuff up! Last banded bird I shot was a pintail banded in northwest alaska!

Told him how to report the number, waiting to hear back from him on the info.......

A ross goose...came out of Canada
Called it in and waiting for my cert
Ross geese are pretty rare to get banded?
