Mendota

Mendota will allow 600 hunters on any hunt day, this includes sweat and reservation. The amount of people that can enter the refuge in the sweat line is based on how many people enter the refuge on reservations! Sweat line will allow as many hunters as possible, but on a good day all the good ponds are taken by the time sweat line gets to move into the refuge! So unless its opening day or closer u can sweat as many people u can fit into a truck. Becareful the refuge is really big so dont get lost in the fog!

Mendota

Mendota is a free roam refuge with lot of ground to cover! There are no blinds! The handicap blinds are the only blinds that exist on Mendota. Once your in the refuge, One could have all his uncles brothers and sisters in one pond behind tules for cover as your blind! Someone told me that mendota (acres wise) is the second largest refuge in the state of california. Sorry bud, there are no blinds on Mendota u make due with cover that surrounds you! The only places that would not have cover are places that were recently disced by tractor! Other wise there is quite a bit of cover! There is a water map at the check station to give u a better look at where to hunt!
