New place this year. Further north and back where I was introduced to duck hunting.

Off Afton and Aquas Frias out of Biggs, looking forward to it!

Nice. I'm located between Sac. and Delevan refuge at a new place. 3 man blind and non-rice for the first time in a long time. We will see?

Nice. They burnt everything around us this year. Interested to see how that will help/hurt us. Thoughts?

I myself am not sure? I thought last year was going to be great and it was the worst year since I began hunting in 1980! So I don't want to burst my bubble.

New blind this year for us. Grasslands instead of rice. I have no idea how it is going to shoot, except that it will be more productive than the last two years. Also, since we're not in rice, we start hunting on the opener, not mid-late November. I haven't been this exicted about opener in awhile.

New blind. New area. Last club sent me an email in August telling me that the club I hunted for the last 3 yRs sold and to start looking for another. Well I did and I can't wait to fire up the BBQ Friday night and hang out with some new guys!

If you have water and blind on opening day, pinch yourselves. You are blessed. No doubt you have paid dearly for the privelige.

Best of luck, slay 'em.

Yes sometimes we forget that having water is a luxury and tend to overlook that it could all go away easily. Also getting out is also a blessing too! Now that my dog cannot make the hunt anymore due to age....it shows how fast 12 years have past and hunting with her was very special and I will truly miss her with me.
