Gray Lodge Sweatline

Postby zkalinowski » Tue Jan 14, 2014 10:23 pm

Hey y'all, I've done the sweatline at Gray Lodge for opening day, but never any other time. Are the procedures the same in the middle of the season, as in if I were to get a chip Friday morning, would I be required to remain in place until whenever or would I be free to move about the country? Don't ask why, but I was thinking about getting a number this Saturday and joining in the mayhem, but I really don't think it'd be worth it to sit out there all day and night (not that it will be regardless...). Thanks for your input, and yes I have already consulted this: https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/FileHandler.ashx ... 1&inline=1 :lol3:

Was also wondering if its 100% flooded, I haven't been since early season. I know they have a map at the station, but I like to at least pretend that I'm prepared in advance.

You get your number and you can leave the premises. I have gotten numbers around 100 and get on with the call in the morning. Know which side you want to hunt and let them know when you get your number. Be prepared to switch sides if one side is full.

I was out there Saturday for the afternoon. There was less area flooded. I'm not sure how much less. Went to a spot that had water last year and bone dry this year.

Looks to be a crowded weekend at the Lodge.

Higher averages = more hunters

Funny what it takes to get folks to go out and hunt these days.
