Nope. I volunteered to work overtime instead. Might as well make money. Same for next weekend too.

Shot Delevan on a ressi. Picked a decent shooting pond. My hunting partner and I shot 5 gaddy, 2 sprig, 2 mallard, 2 spoons, a diver and a snow goose. Was a good bag but we earned it the hard way....it was SLOW. I have never heard that refuge so quiet. It was weird, there was zero morning flight at LST. It wasn't until almost 8 that we started seeing and shooting. Stayed till end of LST, and the same thing happened. NO BIRDS, not even 45 min after LST. We should have left at 3 when we shot our last bird, but over all cant complain. It was a nice day to be in the marsh.

I had my 25, as always, and didn't know my partner had 5 over. You're right, he's paying the price and won't do it again I'm sure.

Saturday was great for my partners and I. Couldn't keep the wigeon off our spread. Ended with 28 for 4 guns. All wigeon, with a few bulls. The junior that hunted with us was a crack shot!
