Do any sac refuges shoot better in afternoon

Postby Noobhunter » Mon Jan 27, 2014 3:02 pm

taking my daughter to Sac for Jr hunt Saturday but thinking of going to Grey Lodge, Delevan or Little dry creek for lottery for the next day. I thought I would also try to get on for an afternoon hunt to recon the free roam areas for the next day. Anyone know if Delevan, LDC or Grey Lodge shoot better in afternoon?

They can, but is it predictable, no, varies year to year.

She will have a chance to shoot ducks at all of those refuges in the afternoon. You might be over thinking the junior weekend a little bit. All 3 of those refuges will have birds for you Saturday afternoon and walking on shouldn't be a problem (not sure about LDC). I would go to the refuge you plan on hunting the next morning so you can have a spot that you will possibly return to the next morning.
