The opinion, when you have the time to read, has some pretty interesting points that are made referencing some historical cases. Some of these points are pretty pertinent to another thread that's going on here.

There are a lot of guys that do.

But living where we live, we've been denied at every attempt. This ruling removes the roadblock for Santa Clara County as well as all of the Bay Area, LA Basin, San Diego, etc. Counties that have been denying permits left and right. This is a great ruling in everyone's favor.

That means that you can get a CCW in a gun friendly county and it would be valid in the Bay Area, correct?
Because I have zero doubt that our current sheriff will slow roll the applications until 2022.

Slow, you should check with your local county sheriff, I think you have to have your CCW issued by the county you reside in. Check your county Sheriff's website FAQ's.

High Sierra is correct, you can only obtain a CCW (Actually LTC (License To Carry) now), in the couty in which you reside. However, a LTC is valid across the whole state, so a LTC issued in Fresno, is valid anywhere in CA. You are not limited to the county in which you reside to carry.

San Diego is filing for an en banc hearing with 11 9th circuit judges and a stay on this ruling until then. So, everything remains as-is until such is completed.

Slow and leaky, you guys can get a CCW in Santa Claus County but you better have deep pockets!!! Join the Sheriff's advisory board, make a fat donation, and you will get one for sure. Hell, I think she gave one to Aldon Smith even though he had a pending assault weapons case.... Haha. Its been alleged, She let him shoot SO weapons and gave a ride in STAR ONE!!!!!

Big money = special treatment in that county.

Trust me, we are well aware of the why. Here's to hoping this ruling removes that obstacle, if the en banc hearing holds it up. Plus the witch is up for re-election, and I've seen that there is a viable candidate that is more in line with allowing LTC.

OR, maybe this can be carried into a Constitutional Carry situation. Where no permitting process is needed you only need be a law abiding citizen, with no restrictions that would prevent you to own a firearm. That's a pipe dream in this state, but a guy can dream, can't he?

Let's hear about those candidates. Has Calguns floated one yet? I haven't been there in awhile.

Slow, I haven't made it all the way through the entire thread but around the middle of page 2 the tide seems to be turning in favor of Kevin Jensen.
