The doves werent as thick as they were 2 years ago. But still limited out 3 days in a row when the season first opened. and twice more after that

2 years ago was the worst dove season ever. Cold spells don't mean crap.

I might actually sit out the opener this year.

After shooting Eurasians all summer long it has gotten pretty boring. :lol3: :lol3:

It must be the smell from the rendering plant that is getting me. I hunt the same 4 properties for doves and 2 years ago was our slowest year. It really is all irrelevant to this season.

To find this information you have many choices, you can ask a 12 year old or wait for the responses from.....:lol3: :lol3: :lol3: which could be either entertaining or condescending or both.

Preferably you can read for yourself the Commission approved DFW early season flyer posted by Glen Underwood, which has all the early upland and waterfowl regulations and season dates included.

Or you can take my word for it...Yes ALL of California...

Yes, and don't jump the gun (pun intended) as my understanding is this doesn't start until Sept. 1st.

Usually I wait till the regs are available in the sporting goods stores because I dont like to beleive the crap I see on the internet. Like the old commercial used to say...."Do you beleive everything you read on the internet" :) hahaha

Mendotakiller, I work off highway 41 and central, and seeing tons of birds. Hopefully this cooling off phase doesn't send the birds out in a hurry

I think we will be alrite...as long as it dosent rain. I think its suppossed be like 92ish? Then supposed to heat back up sometime next week? Thats what I saw yesterday on my phone. I saw lots of birds last night. My pops says he see's a bunch all day long. Out here on the west side it seems like 50/50 euro to mourning dove mix. Where as in madera theres only a few euros. So idk we'll see. It will be fun :)

I just went to Walmart to buy some dove loads. They have suprema #8 shot with 1 oz. They are made in Spain and distributed out of Texas. They are $5.88 /box. Has anyone had any experience with this shell? Does anyone have a open spot for Dove hunting for a old man and his dog? I don't eat much, with shower and only farts occasionally.
