I duck hunt everywhere in Sonoma county and little bit near 37 on the public land. I deer hunt really only on private land. It all depends there ain't much public land to hunt in Sonoma county.

I was checkin out a place by sebastapol once but I couldn't figure out how to get to a spot without a boat or where to even launch one so I gave up on that one lol... also heard a lot of people that hunt out there seem to think they are the only ones that can hunt there and are dickheads about it, may be wrong but id rather hunt around respectfull people

You do need a boat technically to hunt Sebastopol in the Laguna. It can be real good out but you do get a certain kind of people out there that don't speak English and basically shoot at you. But that's the same at 37. Really anywhere there is gonna be @****** but sometimes respect gets respect and people will be nicer but its very rare.

Got to put in time and effort to hunt Sonoma County public land. I do it, but it is easier and more birds at the refuge for not that much more cash

Yea that's true just about everywhere I've hunted there has beend people like that , wich isn't surprising after the number of "duck hunters" has skyrocketed and it takes a lot of time and effort to hunt any where pretty much hahah but its deffinatly worth it

There's 2 Zinkl's in this thread haha. Which one? Forrest or me? Unless there is a "zinkle" in Sonoma county which I highly doubt haha. Redsled who you talking to? Haha

I live here in Santa Rosa, CA. Been living here for about two years. I don't know any place around here to hunt, since I used to live in the Butte County area. I go back once a month or so to hunt when I can but the drive is just way too far for me. If you guys don't mind, can I join for some hunts this year? I usually do upland (dove, bandtail pigeons, quails), small game, and waterfowl. I don't mind learning from you folks!

Thanks in advance!

crap I'll take 80 degrees anyday out in the imperial valley. I used to hammer them up at the refuges in butte county in that weather

Another Sonoma county hunter checking in. Just moved back to the town of Sonoma and as it were i don't have a vehicle yet, but i do have a 2 person kayak and a pretty good knowledge of the Napa-Sonoma marshes  It's always more fun hunting with a partner, feel free to message me if someones flying solo and wants someone to shoot with.
