Guide Recomendation

Postby huntfishnv » Wed Aug 13, 2014 5:24 pm

Hey guys. Who in your opinion is the best guide in California? One of my clients wants to try duck/goose hunting this year for the first time. I'd like to give him the best shot he has at getting into a good hunt. Doesn't matter what species or if it's in a field or water. Thanks!

I had great hunts with Jeff gonlaez last year. Both specs and ducks. He can do dry field or over water.
It was 3riversoutfitters. I think he changed it to nor cal waterfowlers no.
He has 11 fields to chose from so he will always put you on the birds.
He guides a goose hunt next to my blind. They shot 100+ specks in 3 hrs. It was a hell of a show.

He lives in Chico. Hunted with him quite a bit way back in the days on several refuges. Was just looking at my old photo album and we were hefting a limit of ducks and geese from Modoc.

I would look up Jeff then. He lives in Chico. All his hunt are either around upper butte basin or in the sink.

Sorry, not trying to claim to be the "best". I know there are alot of guides in the valley and I know alot of them and they are top knotch. Just putting my name out there. I dont thinks its wrong to have confidence in what you do.
