Dose any one know some good hunting dog trainers in co who are not harsh on tha dogs.? i am 16 with a 5 month old and am thinking i am going to need some help from a professional! thanks :beer:

check gundogbreeders.com they have a list of alot of trainers and breeders and you can break them down by state. hope this helps

I have also herd good things about Eichhorn Kennels. They are near Colorado Springs I believe

I'll second Eichhorns. They are in Calhan east of the springs.

dukhnter7. I did end up getting a pup from eichhorn, she is now a 9wk old yellow handful. Thanks for the recommendation.

As to the training from eichhorn, I talked with a couple of people who have bought their dogs and had them trained at eichhorn have had great results. From the sounds of it the dogs were trained mostly for upland. I am not sure if upland training is eichhorns specialty or not.

Another trainer I have heard of is Cherylon Loveland out of Wellington or Fort Collins

Since your only 16 have you tried your local 4-H they offer dog training/ obedience for you up to 18 and not only will your dog get better you will learn a lot. Just saying because it were I started with dog training.
