Ute cow elk hunt

Hi guys, A little of base here but duck seasons over so I thought I would ask. Anyone every did the cow elk thing in January at the Ute reservation. I need a back up If I don't draw here in N.M. (love that elk meat) But January in Co. Is not to weather friendly.
Any help would be appreciated . pm me or post thanks for the help.

i go elk hunting every year about 14 miles from the N.M. border. lots of elk down there

X2 - although the weather can be rough, if you can - do draw out in Southern Colorado the elk herd is definitely there and if you scout, you'll find 'em!! The Ute land has some great real estate & certainly holds elk.

Hope you draw that tag, I need to live vicariously through someone else's hunt until 2012!!

Im on a roll and im severely homesick... Id win the megamillions before I pull a viable elk tag here in California at this point!!
