Waterfowl Laws/Regulation

Postby jwey23 » Fri Oct 28, 2011 9:10 pm

Hey all so I have a very newbie question, which suits me because I am quite new to waterfowl. So as stated in the CDOW waterfowl brochure limits are : 6, excluding mergansers. Of these, up
to 5 can be mallards, but no more than 2 can
be female mallards. Included in the daily bag
limit of 6, you can have no more than 2 pintails,
1 canvasback, 2 redheads, 3 wood ducks and 2
scaup.

So my question is what about any species not mentioned? Such as teal, or are they only huntable during early Teal season? (And yes as new as I am I can identify all quite well, I grew up with my parents obsessed with birding and I was a little bit as well, however I still get a little intimidated when they fly in)

Basically what are the limit numbers for any species not mentioned, just six regardless of sex?

Yes. If they are not under one of the special limits mentioned, you can shoot 6 of them

Yep so you can shoot teal even wen it's the specific early teal season.
