We went out today on a public pond in eastern CO and had an ok shoot. I ended up with my first scaup, and we got 1 mallard, 1 gadwall, and 1 shoveler. It was a nice way to stop duck hunting for a week and go get some phez this coming weekend.

Very nice. I just got back from a phez hunt in south Dakota. We shot 6 in two days. 30-40 mph winds the whole time and the numbers are low this year cause of all the spring rain in south Dakota. Still had fun though. Good luck

I gotta say I like the hypersonic's. I like the 1700 fps but the faults for me are I'm shooting the birds at 15-20 yards and I've destroyed a couple birds. I think I may have to mount the scaup only one ill prolly get.

No idea. I've only ever shot a shoveler once.

The drakes have a brighter orange on their feet and typically a darker bill with more color on the wings. The upper breast feathers will have a reddish tint to them and the camoflauge patterning that is seen on the breast of hens will not be as prevelant. Drake Spoonies take a couple years to get their full plummage so for atleast their first year they will look alot like a hen and then progress into their full breeding plummage over the next few years.

The one in the picture that you posted is a drake

Red Dot- 3 years or older
Green Dot- 2 year old
Blue Dot- First Year

You can see on the 2 year olds that they are about half way to full plummage and that the 3 year olds and up are in full plummage

He did but there is great calls made by good nice people, instead of the guy that gives us all a bad name. If you insist on getting one of foil’s you will have to ask for it. Places like cabalas and sportsmen's have taken them off their walls and put them in the back. No surprise they do not want to associate them self’s with that scum.

Have you ever tried any of D.O.A's calls?

Some guy offered me the call in a trade along with another follies..... I don't like supporting people like folie, but if the call is already purchased from a store or whatever than technically I'm my supporting directly to him..... No I havent tried any DOAs calls. Are they nice?

I like them. The guy that owns DOA lives down here in NM. He is a really nice guy. He has a great selection of work. They also do custom work if you’re looking for something really special. If you’re interested feel free to call or email him. If it is from a friend your buying foil’s call from then it does not really help foil at all. I am cruise though? Is he selling it because of what he has been charged for? I know a lot of people are getting rid of them because of that.

I'll check out DOAs stuff. The guy offered me the calls in a trade for an iPod. So I don't really no the exact price. He said other than it being out of the package, it's practically brand new.

I used to really respect Foiles and all that he "stood for" supporting the troops in his videos and seemed like a good quality dude, but now that all this crap got pulled it all makes sense. I purchased his strait meat honker, timber rattler, and strait suzy about 4 years ago. They are really nice calls, but i will never support him or anyone like him again. There are a ton of great calls out there that are made by great guys who can stay within the legal limits even if the footage is great.....
