I'll be out east chasing the ditch chickens for the weekend. Went out scouting a couple weeks ago and secured some pretty good properties. Saw quite a few roosters hanging around the edges of the fields.

Good luck everyone!

I went out scouting this afternoon and ended up saying screw the scouting and went and duck hunted for the last 30 minutes of shooting light. Killed a really nice greenhead. 10 pellets in the breast, 5 in the feet, 3 through the beak, and an indention in the middle of it's breast from where the wad hit it

Went out on Sunday for the red birds and 3 of us shot limits on heavy cover adjacent to uncut corn. I think like most seasons the more the corn comes down the better the hunting will get. We also found a few ducks to jump shoot to add to the bag. Dog got to make some good retrieves and the birds held well for her to make the flush. All and all a lot of fun.
