Layout boats legal in CO!?

Postby mngreenheadkilla » Tue Dec 20, 2011 9:56 pm

Does anybody know if layout boats are legal to use in CO!? I know they are used most of the time for killin' divers, and most guys out here dont care to shoot divers. I love shooting em all!... I cant find anywhere whether or not they are legal...any input!?

I think they are legal as long as the body of water you are hunting allows hunting from boats. For example I think Jackson Reservoir just in the last few years started allowing boat hunting.

I flirted with the idea for awhile and gave up. I only know of 2-lakes in Colo that allows boat hunting. Throwing over $1000 for a layout, plus a boat, plus a huge diver spread for 2 months that the lakes dont freeze isnt worth it. I would love to have a chance at hunting Sterling out of a boat.

Well thanks for the input guys, I really think that would be the cats *** . I think I may try to get set up by next season. I already have like 5 dozen divers and am looking into a new boat anyways...so it would be like an extra grand to get the layout boat.
