Im new to the area and was wondering if anyone ever hunted here?

Well i guess i coulda said a little about myself, Im in the military and stationed in Aurora, and im looking for a decent place to hunt. Doesnt have to be the worlds best spot just a spot. Something to make me feel a bit at home i guess. haha

I have never hunted there (sorry I know that doesnt help). I have been to a a lot of the SWA's out here and it seems to me that everyone has a different opinnion. The best thing you can do is get out and check it out for yourself. If you are looking for someone to go with you pm me. I'm always looking for someone to hunt with and I live close to Aurora.

Typically, this time of year, when the ponds freeze over I do more upland with my GSP because she doesnt like cold deep water but If I find a goood river spot and I cant help but blast some duckies.

Im from tennessee. Me and a friend from home went there this morning and came out with one weigon. Im happy for it being botg our first colorado hunt.

Great place on the right day, but on weekends, it is a skybust heaven for geese that travel the corridor. River is high like Ive never seen before and crossing it is not an option. 2 ft from bank, I dropped to waste high. Duck numbers have gone down after the opener. Good luck and be safe.

Well the ducks were flying great today. Just not working due to the wind. But we got another wiegon.
