So i've got some family thinking about moving out that way and was curious how the bird hunting is around there, are all the resesvior open for hunting that I see on the maps? I see alot of fields, is the field hunting pretty good through that area? Are the land owners friendly? Not asking for any spot but just in general how's thing through the area. If anyone wants to PM thats cool. Wish I could get stationed in CO though, South Az isn't the best spot for me lol

Thanks in advance

Byers is definitely not a good place to start bird hunting. Most of the area is for doves and big game. All those lakes you see on the map are probably dried or will get drained by end of year. You can hunt some, but not many. The best places to hunt in birds in Colorado run along the NE section of the state. More water = more crop fields = birds.
