looking for an outfitter *denver*

Postby justinmi » Tue Feb 05, 2013 5:47 pm

Hi there,

I will be coming to Denver from Texas in late October for a few days and would like to get in on some quack smackin! I was wanting to know if you all had any suggestions for outfitters near the Denver area? As of right now I have my eye on front range guide service, hunt the north guides and Colorado wingsport. Yall have any input on those outfitters? Hope yall had a great season, and look forward to any information yall have!

A friend of mine runs Clear Fork Outfitters in Ft. Colllins so you might want to check them out. You can't go wrong with Stillwater though

I've heard great things about Birds of Fall Outfitters.

They might be a little to far North of Denver for ya,but from all accounts I've heard they have some top shelf hunts.

Thanks for the info guys! I know birds come and go with cold fronts, but is late October usually a productive part of the season for ducks in northeast Colorado?

Yep plenty of birds around. Majority of the birds will be teal gadwall and redheads and then a mix of everything else

I'm not from Colorado, but hunt there every other year (my wife takes me out there for that big old meal in November). Two years ago we used Front Range Guide Service and hunted with Jeff Colwell the owner. We had a really good time. His rates are reasonable and he put us on the birds. www.frontrangeguideservice.com

Give him a call.
