got some family in colorado springs, wondering what public land if any is close to the area. :help:

I have family in Canon City area (doesn't seem to far from Colorado Springs). They recently retired there, looking for the same advise. I am going to be up there end of next week for the opener, assuming it is the same as ours here. I would be interested and greatfull for the same info. good luck.

If you go south east from there, there is quite a bit of public around Lajunta and Lamar. About an hour or 2 from the springs. There is also some public land on the river above Pueblo Res. about 45 minutes south.
