Duck Migration Report?

Postby mchunter » Tue Dec 02, 2008 11:44 am

Hi all, new to forum. I have enjoyed reading the posts so far, seems like a bunch of good people. I am looking for good places to see duck migration reports. I like the DU migration map page, but there aren't many entries in Colorado like in the midwest. Is there any topics/categories on this site? Where do you get your migration information?

Thanks in advance, and good luck to all.

Personally, I've never trusted those reports. I don't think they can keep the info updated fast enough. They may show no birds when you check but a front that day may have pushed a bunch in or out. The best info is gained by scouting.

agreed. The ducks move so fast it's all about getting out and finding them.

Here's my migration report from the Greeley area:
Wigeon (lots of them)
gr. wing teal
and we're starting to see lots more ringers, goldeneyes, and mallards.
don't know what area your lookin' for but that's what we've seen in the last few weeks.
