Yup....
The more I look, the more confusing it gets.
Some cool places down town, bad parking and expensive and a shlepp to the aquarium. Bigger rooms up by the aquarium but a bitch to get down into town.

I live close by and frequent the area.
You already summed up the situation quite well. Pick your poison, bad parking in town or good parking in the aquarium tourist area. Where do you plan on spending the most amount of your time?
I would stay at the casino myself and drive into Mystic as needed.

There's also the Mystic Marriot which is in Groton. But very close to casinos and Mystic.

I looked at the Holiday Inn Express and the rooms were pretty big, close to all, but maybe a little small.
When you say "Casino" do you mean Foxwoods or MS? If FW, whats the diff between MGM and the other big one??
My son is 16 months, and I think he'd probably more excited exploring a big hotel, casino, pool, etc, than the main st of Mystic.....
Agree? I am sure he'd freak over the aquarium, is it really good??

Foxwoods is closer to Mystic than the Mohegan Sun but still reasonably close.
The MGM at Foxwoods is just a wing of the main casino with it's own hotel, games and entertainment area. There is really no difference between the two and it's all connected together by hallway.
The aquarium is good for the New England area, can't really compare it to Seaworld which is great. The Indian museum at Foxwoods is very good and the kids will like it also.

Cool,
I looked into MS and it just struck me as a bit trashy. I dunno.
Plus Fxwds is def cheaper...
I think that's the way we're going.

Thanks a bunch.

We had a great time. You have a beautiful state...
We stayed at Foxwoods, did the aquarium and had a nice ferry ride home.
We'll do it again.
