Ok, not great, went out twice. Once in the morning and once at night. Nothing at night, but got 4 geese in the morning, one banded. Going out again tomorrow morning.

been out twice and not seen any except on some state land you cant hunt, and a couple fields that are leased out by millstream. thinking of trying a different approach this weekend. hoping to bag atleast 1 bird early season.

hunted the tornado watch on Candlewood lake......man was it dark at 7:25!!! winds howling...pouring rain.... I cant ever remember driving my boat is such a downpour.......geese were cooperative, but not like i expected....I think the storm messed up their roosting routine....

new pup brought in a few birds all the way to the boat....

goosen been pretty good so far.

Hey Tool you got any other specifics on hunting locations either a rock or point so we can all be on the X with you too. :help: You wouldn't be able to help us out with Davis Island in NY your best kept secret for all the rest of us looking to do a little coastal duck hunting. The more detailed specifics you can provide the better, to help us out finding the birds. Thanks Tool!

Tool please feel free to post your success in the CT forum. I for one am open for suggestions! I can only help with locations of where the birds are not.

actually i broke my own rule..."not to post on the CT forum any more"

I had a brain fade..

this forum has a few antogonist that just ruin any thread they add to..... and while i hunt CT a lot, and i am never shy about helping anyone...i try not to post here any more, because of those antagonist.

and the worst part is the moderators ignore it time and time again....

so when january rolls around and this forum had had only 20 new threads...you can blame the moderators

My spots are still dried up with no birds. The farm hasn't started cutting the silage yet, but was supposed to start soon. Normally we are on the farm for the start of the October season. Had geese all around us prior to about two weeks before the Sept seasoned opened. Haven't seen any migrators myself but a few buds in Mass have seen some high fliers heading our way. Anyone else seen any?

ive started seeing a ton in parks, soccer fields, you know the usual hangouts that are completely unhuntable....

We are still waiting for our fields to be cut.

Went out today and saw ALOT of ducks. Easily scared up 150 to 200 ducks one place we went. No geese until a huge flock of 30 or so flew over @ 7:30. :fingerhead:

Another season's is on the horizon. Scouting a few opener opportunities and seeing many more ducks than this time last year. Got out twice for early goose and ended with 3; one banded.
