New to Connecticut...where to hunt?!!

I moved to Putnam, CT (Northeast corner of the state) from Vermont this past year. Im obsessed with duck hunting, but I have no idea where to hunt. Any ideas????

I think that the north end of West Thompson Lake would be great!!

Why not give that a try?

Welcome - The Ct hunting guide available at your town hall will list most of the public hunting areas. You can get maps to them off the "DEEP' web site. Other than that you need to start knocking on doors. Woodstock permit required area is good for geese.

If you want to meet some like minded people I can introduce you to my fish and game club - certainly the best one in eastern ct if not all of Ct - IMHO. It's on the web and is the Fin Fur and Feather Club located in Chaplin. Probably 20-30 minutes from you.
