Banded ducks

Postby Moe Greene » Mon Oct 29, 2012 6:23 pm

Here's for tool who says I never help anyone.... Seems like there's a bunch more banded mallards hanging around the quinny this year. I've got 2 and a few of my buddies have also taken some. All local birds though, wonder if the state started banding in a new location. Anyways your welcome.

I shot a full limit of banded drake mallards and two banded woodies the last day of the first split. I would like to post the pictures, but I don't know how  The kids I took hunting also shot limits but with only 6 bands between the two of them.

While it is possible it is highly unlikely for anyone to shoot that many bands in one hunt. Sorry man but I'm not buying it.

The state is banding black ducks in old Lyme. I shot 2 banded there last year the only problem was they migrated about 30 miles in the wrong direction
