Hey captmike69! Here's my first post.

I have not seen BWT in CT but they are shot here. My buddy and I also got a gadwall, on the 17th of December, which I hear is early.

I highly recommend you check out this site: http://www.flyways.us/regulations-and-harvest/harvest-trends

Use the dropdown bar on 'state search' and select 'Connecticut' and 'Gadwall'

This can be used to see many years of harvest data for virtually any duck passing through here.

For anyone who is in a hurry, I looked at the graphs, and about 50 BWT were harvested last year in CT, and about 300 Gadwall.

I killed a gadwall in October (2008?) on my very first duck hunt. I've never killed a bluewing

nice......a Gadwall is at the top of my 'wish-list'......of course I'd prefer a nicely plumed drake for a mount as my first

Well good luck. I dunno where you are but in the swamp we usually don't see wigeon till it gets cold.
