Great Last Day

Postby O2Fsh » Sun Jan 20, 2013 6:27 am

Had a great last day in the marshes. LOTS of birds in the morning flight then very few. Put plenty of birds in the boat. The amazing sunset and friends at the ramp made for a great day.

I hope all of you did just as well or better.

Did not do as well. Still learning and did not capitalize on the oppurtunities presented, in the marsh and preperation! Although friends after the hunt made the season succesfull! Looking forward to the remainder of late goose and next season.

All,
Good luck

Nice pic, looks like a fun rig. That pup has the perfect color to hide!
Did you say woodcock or woodduck?

Thanks for the compliments guys! I think he's ready, or will be by the beginning of next season. My broken shoulder kept us out of the game for most of this year.

Thanks everyone for not giving me grief about my firewood stack falling over... Ah, the things we let slide during hunting season.

Tool,

They're out there (one man trailered boats). In fact, I am picking up another one next Saturday in Southern NJ. A Barnegat Bay that needs some refurbishing. Lifting the kicker off my Boston Whaler to power it when I am finished.

With the new boat I can take someone hunting in my "marsh go-carts".
