Duck Carving Day is cancelled. I'll try again later

Postby O2Fsh » Sun Mar 03, 2013 6:51 am

Well, lets make this official.

Any and all are invited to my home for a day of carving, painting, BS-ing, trading, sharing, and meeting.

Details

Date: 16MAR13
Time: 7 am to set up and we'll start making noise around 8am. We'll need to stop making noise around 8 pm.

HOWEVER, stop in anytime! Stay all day or for as long as you can...

My address: 33 Dora Circle in Bridgeport, CT 06604

I will provide coffee all day and burgers for lunch. Bring a dish or a sack of something to share form lunch. Bring your own drinks. If you're drinking alcohol, I'm cool with it as long as you're safe and can drive home okay.

I have plenty of power and space in and out of the garage. If you're planing on power carving bring your own extension cord and I'll fire up the generator around back of the garage. If you have a small table you can work off of, bring it as well.

Bring your own chair to work/BS from

Please RSVP so I can estimate the amount of burgers I'll need. If you don't RSVP and show up anyway you're still WELCOME!!!!

I'd love to make it, Are you cooking all the duck? I can carve a turkey pretty good. (lol) On a serious note I would like to see the process in order to get started myself. Dog show on the 16th and Pointing dog championship on the 17th. I hope the flight of woodcock come in. Missed em last year, only one pointed. The year previous 40 plus. Sage is ready to go.

Versatile

If saturday is an early day, I'll give you a text to see whats going on.

So far nobody is in.

I may just move it to later in the Spring. I was hoping to try and organize regular meetings based on an interest I perceived to be there. Either it isn't there, or I've timed it wrong. Ya'll let me know....

I would love to attend but cannot make it next weekend. Later in the spring may work better. I have no experience but could bring some food and hopefully just watch to learn a thing or two.

Well, nobody is showing so I am cancelling the carving day. I'll try to do it again later in the spring or early summer.

I'm having a carving get together on August 10 at my place in East Hampton. Email me at duxndawgs@yahoo.com and I'll forward you my announcement.

Fresh meat....perfect.

Seriously, There is nothing mysterious about it. There are several ace guys who have said they are showing up. I will try to have several cork birds in various stages of progress. Come observe only if you want. Come and make a duck if you want. I have limited materials and tools though. We are getting late for it, but I'm sure that if you call Willy at www.theduckblind.com tomorrow, you can probably get one of his kits or a sheet of cork delivered by next Friday.
