Cutom Boat Build

Postby irons » Thu Mar 07, 2013 2:37 pm

Anyone know of any Custom Boat builders in the NE area that would build me a true flat bottom mud / Duck boat? I would like to use a local guy rather than go down south. I am looking for the following in a true flat bottom (no ribs):

either a weldbilt crawdad style or a mod v in a true flat 1648 or 1748:

-.100g aluminum minimum (curious as to the price difference between that and .125 5086)

-20" sides

-Rear huntdeck strong enough to support atleast a 35hp Surface drive mud motor

-2 rear seats (i guess its called a split seat, with storage)

-Small forward deck with just enough room to fit a few lifejackets and maybe an anchor underneath and maybe a spotlight on at a later date.

-Grab bar (multi position)

-True Flat bottom (no ribs)

I havent had much success with google. Thanks

Tanner made his own sneak boat, it's pretty awesome!!! Don't know if he'd make them for others though. If you're going to get a 35hp SD I would suggest upping your boat width to a 52". And if you're going to get a 17footer you may as well just add another foot and make it 18. Really no point in the 17. Mod V is your best bet for configuration. Any other Qs just ask.
