Well I am groton ct. Haven't been able to go out much to look around but it does seem to be to bad but any takers on showing me around I'm interested. Any anyone with advice on hunting license and and all that bullcrap I'm all ears . I work at the dicks in Waterford so if your ever in stop by the lodge and say hay. I need a good hunting partner for this season from deer hunting to duck hunting. I'm ready to put a big northern buck on the ground and putting some ducks in the boat..

Rule #1. CT people don't go to the beach in CT....we go to RI. NYC people go to the beach in CT.

Rule #2. When you get ready to go out for a lobster roll, it's HOT lobster meat, drenched in butter, on a roll. The cold ones with mayo are a lobster SALAD roll and are to be avoided.

Rule #3. Lobster bibs are for sissy's

Rule #4. CT people drive too fast, except when in the left lane.

anybody want to add to this?

Rule #5. New England Clam chowder is white. Rhode Island clam chowder is clear. Both are great. Manhattan clam chowder is red. Not so great.

Rule #6. If you find a honey hole, (fishing, hunting or otherwise) keep it to yourself. No spot in Connecticut is used by just one person, so if you tell the world, you've screwed yourself and the guy that comes in tomorrow. :fingerhead:

Rule #7. Bluefish are edible, but smaller ones are better tasting. (You probably know this)

Rule #8. Lipping Bluefish is not recommended. :crying: (You probably know this, too)

Rule #9. Grinders are what other people call hoagies, subs, foot-longs, etc.

Rule #10. People get VERY ornery when you take your time launching your boat.

HUnting licenses in CT can be confusing and there's at least on example I know of where you can actually pay more money than you need to for a combination....just take your time & mind your math.
Did you say woodcock or woodduck?
