Postby Trevor H » Wed Sep 27, 2006 1:29 pm

I just got into waterfowl hunting, I live in New Canaan and I was wondering if you guys know of any public land that I can hunt.

Trevor h,

You can start at the state website- www.dep.state.ct.us
and search thru there for state land. Another sorce is Delorme maps
get one of ct and there is a few spots in there or the book
A fisheries Guilde to lakes and ponds of Connecticut
This book is a great source for me not all of the ponds are huntable
but you go a see. Trever h don't forget about all that salt water just south of you or even better a local land owner with a small pond on priviate land
when it gets cold that place would shoot

Post up on ctfisherman.com in the hunting section. Some one might take you out if you ask real nice.
When I have open seats in my boat I usually post it there and take a new guy out for LI Sound divers.
Good luck.
Thousands on the boat.
Hundreds on decoys.
Time away from the wife....priceless
