no luck!!!

This is my first year duck hunting I've done everything I've been told from hiding to Scouting everything still no luck I've been to the hollow Thompson damn and a place in Ashford still no luck. besides the swamp in Ashford haven't seen any ducks!! anybody know of a public area I should try...

All the public places are listed on ther DEP website.
Thousands on the boat.
Hundreds on decoys.
Time away from the wife....priceless

Stick around and you will pick up some great techniques, but Connecticut is too small to give out specific info on the forum like this. Just keep at it and scout for places where the ducks are, not the places that are easy to set up.

If you have any type of boat the main rivers such as ct river produce good ducks.

All I can say is but your time in and it will come to you nobody thought me anything and there's not a time I go out and don't shoot my limit its more rewarding that way found my own spots and don't hunt near anybody

Thompson dam only has shootable ducks when they are doing a retriever hunt test :lol3: j
The areas you are hunting are tough. Early season is only local ducks and they get wise quick. You need to find hard to get to out of the way places if you want to get ducks. Forget about limits unless you find one of these spots. Nobody will tell where they are you have to find them yourself, or find private property. Good luck.
