Fair first morning out

Postby Versatilehunt » Fri Oct 18, 2013 10:19 am

Went out last afternoon - nothing, maybe a bit to warm. Left my set up out the knowing I would be out at o-dark-thirty. Two came in and a bit rusty on shooting and missed. Managed to get these two coming in solo. One started to flap away and the dog took a while to retrieve but managed ok. Hunting on foot, thanks to the Army Corps of Engineers for those dams built after the flood of 55. To the one asking about Jump Shooting. I found it risky in a canoe or kyak. If you have a dog on foot is the way to go. Try some of the dams listed on the DEEP site. Most are walkable and have plenty of water holes to walk up on between the swampy marshes.
