Sunday Hunting

Postby CTRIVERDUCKHUNTER » Fri Oct 12, 2007 7:15 pm

Someone asked me why CT didn't allow hunting on Sundays. I told them I didn't have to foggiest idea. Any answers?
America is not at war,
The Marine Corps is at war,
America is at the mall.

 I'm not sure I was told by someone 10 or 15 years ago that it had to do with the church and Sunday being a day of rest. Didn't really make any sence to me, and still doesn't.
If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck it must be dinner.

I think it's one of the old blue laws. Same as can't sell alcohol on Sunday. I believe it was in the legislature for last year to allow limited Sunday hunting but got shot down. The Anti's want "their day in the woods too without being under the threat of being shot by irresponsible hunters". I guess the 9 months out of the year that hunting season is closed isn't good enough for them.
