A very slow morning for Marco, Pops and I in Essex on the CT River. Only shot 1 mallard and 1 wigeon early morning.
On the last shot my Aimpoint red dot flew off the gun. Spent the next 45 minutes on my hands and knees in the water feeling around for it in the mud, eventually found it 8' in back of me on dry land.
Spent a portion of Sunday installing a new mount on the receiver, should not have any problems now.
On the way back to the launch saw something swimming in the river. As we got close we could see that it was a 6 point buck, a nice sight to end the days hunt on.
