Stopped at a job today in west haven right on the water and right there not 50' away were about 500 brant on the mud flat behind this house. I don't know if they are early I just wasn't expecting them with this mild weather.

Saw some large groups out last weekend, more than I have seen in my area in years.
Thousands on the boat.
Hundreds on decoys.
Time away from the wife....priceless

West Haven sandbar is a good place for brant. I have seen hundreds there. Never shot one though because they were usually out feeding while I was hunting geese and ducks.
