In support of the Havre de Grace Decoy Museum...on Saturday September 12th, the Museum is hosting "The Duck Fair." A great day of waterfowling vendors, merchandise, decoy carvers, Outfitters and some great food...a great way to spend a Saturday.
Our chapter will again host the "Calling the Flats" Duck & Goose Calling Contest on the grounds of the museum. All proceeds will go to support the Decoy Museum. Its a part of the Duck Fair being held on the grounds that day. 1st Place Trophies will be a full size Canvasback Drake from Pat Vincenti made especially for this contest ($95 each). 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be a very nice plaque with a Capt. Bob Jobes Canvasback (Half mounted on a plaque - $50).
The contest will be as follows:
Open "Meat" Duck - 90 seconds with two rounds. $20 entry fee.
Open "Live" Goose - 60 seconds with two rounds. $20 entry fee.
Junior (16 and under) "Meat" Duck - 90 seconds with two rounds. $10 entry fee.
Junior (16 and under) "Live" Goose - 60 seconds with two rounds. $10 entry fee.
Registration starts at 9am, Contest will begin at 12 noon.
Callers will be calling from a Duck Boat on overlooking the Susquehanna Flats on the grounds of the museum.
The Trophies are of very high value...but your entry fee has much more. The Havre de Grace Decoy Museum is a non-profit and all of your entry fee's will go to fund their future.
