Back at again today, wasn't expecting much, so we were a little surprised when we packed up. Didn't see nearly as many birds as yesterday.

got out this morning and managed 4 mallards, 3 drakes and 1 hen. Was perfect weather. Warmer when we launched, and got colder as the morning went on. Sheet ice was forming all around us, but our spot was staying pretty clear. Left a little early due to a buddies prior obligations.

Hunted a buddies goose lease in cecilton MD on saturday. We had five guys and were lucky enough to limit out on honkers and got an odd ball brant that broke off from a flock of geese. Hit the lottery at Cedar Swamp today(12/24) and got the goose egg.

Was 4° this morning at the Augustine lottery. We went out to the Delaware river south of Port Penn and got a two man limit by 11am. Should have been done by 9am, but had crappy shooting. Took me 19 shells to get my 6 birds. This cold weather has brought in some ducks though. We killed mallard, wigeon, bluebill, bufflehead, and a merganser. No, I did not shoot the merganser!

Ended up falling one bird short of a 4 man limit on Can's. Decided to walk back to the truck, and half way there the first flock lit into the spread. Figures, just my luck.

Good job out there. Was there many people at the lottery, and was there much shooting that you could hear?

Only 8 parties. 4 boats, rest wanted goose pits. Heard lots of shots but were too far to figure where from.

Have you guys heard of anybody doing any good at Bombay hook? There has been a lot of parties without boats at cedar swamp this year. More people hunting at cs this year than I've seen since the old man junior ran the checkin station. I recently just came up with A LOT of time to hunt and was thinking bout trying bombay. Most places I heard of people killing was augustine, little creek, and the beach. Our tactics for late season has not worked this year to well lol so we are gona try new stuff. Has anyone hunted woodland or milford for snow goose conservation order in past? Thanks. Goodluck and be safe.
