ahhh it depends on the situation where your at...typically if not many people are around and no competition you will throw a smaller spread at em, but if your competing with many other hunters, sometimes that s where the bigger numbers come in...anymore info just PM me

I should be heading out for some duck hunting, but instead I will be in search of the large 8 pointer that was on my cam in NJ. Dont worry I will be chasing the ducks and geese a lot this year!!

John - a smaller spread with a little movement should work great. I would say anywhere from 12-20 dekes and a jerk string. Although, like DEDuck said if there is a lot of competition you might hagve to step up the spread.
Why lose when you can Win?

Its just going to be my Dad and I and we are going to give Woodland a try. I think I will run 6 mallards,6 blacks,6 buffleheads,2 pintails,2 gadwalls,2 widgeons(GH puddler pack),2 coots and 1 mojo on a long extension pole.I know it will be packed. What do you guys think?

To each his own and whatever gets ducks for ya!!!! I start out small and work my way up as the season progresses. For open water I will use alot of blocks. Try one day with a few and alot on another day. Good luck and good gunning!
