My cousin had to get his hyperdrive worked on there. They did a good job. I have noticed people slam them, but I don't have any personal interactions with them. I usually try to do all work myself, but that mud buddy guy in deland does a great job.

Is it engine related or unit / housing related? Longtail or surface drive?

Does Cody Reese work on mud buddy's? Never heard anything bad about him.

its either my alternator, wiring harness, or recharge system...this of course is just speculation...havent taken anything appart...but my motor will crank fine but it will not recharge the battery enough to start it back up after a few cranks ups and runs...pretty weird ...but its 35 surface drive...any ideas?

Check out amazon for alternator, pretty easy fix if that's what it is. Check out youtube for tutorial on how to change it yourself. If you want somebody to diagnose and fix, try bbt small engine repair on Monroe, just past 6th ave. pretty reasonable on labor and will have it done quick (the guy is a midget, fitting that he works on small engines). Any small engine repair shop will get you going again, you can avoid mud motor dealers if want. Good luck, PM if you have any questions.

Have you checked your battery? Probably a stupid question but I had a similar situation a couple years ago and it turned out to be an old shot battery.

X2 on what big bend said. We always take ours to southside mower. or if you want to fix it yourself go to espisitos and they can help you order the right part. All it is is a lawn mower engine
