Holy Osceola

Postby lovetheduck » Wed Aug 15, 2012 6:43 pm

So this is my first season in Florida hunting everything that is legal and I am now starting scouting and the first place I go to is Osceola national park.....my God that place was huge. A couple decent lakes, didn't see much sign of ducks or deer or hogs or anything for that matter except some doves and a few snake corpses on the roads....and you can't even shoot shotguns at their range. So there goes patterning my gun there for the ducks and I can't get my slug gun realigned after the 800 mile move to here. What did I get myself into?

Osceola is huge, but trust me, there are game animals there, but it takes scouting to find them. I've seen deer, hog and turkey. Never seen much for waterfowl. The shooting range is very nice, especially for being free and pretty much open year round. Get out and scout and you will find some game.
