deke and calling question

Postby t-ville » Wed Jul 26, 2006 10:42 am

for you guys that hunt up in the northern part of the state(especially those that hunt seminole), what should my spread consist of for the bigger lakes. right now i have 10 ringnecks, 6 teal, and 12 mallards but im ordering some bluebills and was wondering what else you would suggest adding to the spread.

also, do you guys use mallard calls/pintail calls/diver calls?
this area around here doesnt get too many mallards. we mostly have divers with the occasional widgeon, gadwall, etc.

Dont thorw those Mallets in a Closet, leave the hens as is and paint the Drakes black and white like a Diver. More than of my diver rig is painted Mallets, and my diver rig is well over 200 decoys at times.
Most folks that tell you to put your call away cant call themsleves, note I said most.
Calling in Florida is a personal prefernce, if you know what your doing by all means use your calls, if you play In a Gadda Davida on your call then leave it at home.

Canvasback deeks.
