With a plethora of different brands, I'm not really set on one myself. A local sporting goods store recently switched from carrying Fiocchi shells and now carry RIO's. Although I liked and have shot the Fiocchi shells for a while, I bought a few boxes of RIO's and can't say that they haven't performed well for me. It's not economical to buy more than just a few different loads to try. Start with a brand you're familiar with, get 3" in #4 and #6. Shoot both through each gun and make your choice. Next season, if you're unhappy with how the shells you choose perform in the field, try a different brand. I personally wouldn't get any shells with a shot size larger than #4.
