Youth hunters

Postby bdub » Wed Nov 07, 2012 6:39 am

I have a buddy of mine whos boys want to go hunting with me. Both boys are under the age of 16 so i know they dont need any paper work. But Can I take both boys out by my self or does it have to be one adult per kid?

Thanks

You can take as many as you can put up with.

A buddy & I carried our five year olds down to an STA last year & they had blast. The check in person gave us a hard time about having over three on the permit (two hunters & two kids (5 years old)) I told her we would gladly leave one with her & funny thing she let us go ahread :-)

These boys are 12 and 15 so I will have some extra muscle to pole us through the vegitation. Gonna make my life a lot easier. And hopefully I can show them all the RIGHT ropes.

Getting kids in the outdoors should be required. Well played sir!

Well after a slow first day turned our luck around the second day and shot 4 blue bills. 2 Each! Was really hard to just sit there and watch everything go down! But at the end of the day it feels good to introduce these kids to this awesome sport!

Its a good feeling to watch a youth shoot his first bird. Even when its not your kid. This is my former boss's son at age 12.

Nice job bdub.....it's an awesome thing to see youngsters involved and even more so when they have some success. :clapping:
