You are invited to participate in a survey that the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) are conducting to gather input on waterfowl hunter preferences for the Upper St Johns River Marsh Wildlife Management Area (USJRMWMA; http://www.myfwc.com/hunting/wma-brochu ... -st-johns/). This survey pertains ONLY to waterfowl hunting opportunities on the property.
To participate in the survey, follow the link below. To enter the survey site you must enter a valid Customer ID Number (located near the top of your Florida hunting or fishing license). Only one survey will be accepted per ID.
If you are not required to have a hunting license because of an exemption (you are under 16 or over 65 years of age) please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org ) and we will provide you with a unique number so that you may participate in the survey. Please provide your name, address and phone number in your request for a survey entry number.
Persons with a Disability Hunting/Fishing Certificate may use that number to enter the survey in place of a Customer ID Number.
The SJRWMD will hold two public meetings following completion of the survey, the first on Wednesday February 20, 2013 from 6-8pm at the Brevard County Commission Chambers (Brevard County Government Center, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Building C, First Floor, Viera, Florida 32940) and a second meeting a month or so later (date and location to be determined ). Results of this survey will help provide insight as to hunter preferences on this issue. Should any changes be considered for waterfowl hunting on the USJRM WMA they would be submitted to FWC through their regular rule change process, with the earliest date of 1 July 2014 for any possible rule change to be in effect.
The survey is open now and will close on January 31, 2013:
Thank you for your interest in waterfowl hunting in Florida.
