What kind of hunting are we talking about? Zone d applies to deer.

For deer , if your not going to join a lease , then get a WMA stamp . You have areas close to you , camp blanding , Nassau has a WMA , Ocala are just a few . As for ducks , dude , you live off the St Johns river which has feeder creeks and bayous all over the place . Also George and Orange lakes are close and lets not forget Ocklawaha Prairie which draws blue and greenwings , wood , and ringnecks . Now we aren't going to give you the holes , get out there and do your homework . I saw a lot of ducks today while fishing , I was scouting too as I was catching some reds . Now figure it out !

Hi,I go to school at UNF right there off of Kernan and JTB. I am new to the area and cannot find anyone to duck hunt with. One of my buddies has property in Callahan, FL where we can hunt hogs, deer, and turkey, but no ducks. Does anyone know of a cheap guide, or have any suggestions on how to get started up there? We both are experienced bird and duck hunters, just not in that area. Please Let me know, thanks

You dont need a guide. Sounds like your experienced at shooting. If you know what ducks eat and what type of habitat just go find it. I had decent success my first season by sitting in the marsh for 2 months before the season and doing a little biology in the area. Looking at plants, taking pictures. Figure out what areas produce and why.

There's talk about allowing hunting with suppressors in Florida. Im personally all for it.

I'll mug dirty pond mallards with a sling shot if it means some action!
